I am a Consultant Neurosurgeon with a special interest in minimal invasive spinal surgery. I have extensive experience in treating patients with complex spine disorders.
The procedures that I perform include; minimal invasive spine surgery, cervical and lumbar disc surgery, artificial disc replacement, kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty, spinal injections and neuromodulation for pain.
My higher specialist training in complex spine was undertaken at the neurosurgical department of the Royal London Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London. I also had orthopaedic complex spinal training as a senior fellow in spinal surgery in the University Hospital of Cardiff.
I have been working in the NHS since 2011 and am on the special register of the General Medical Council for Neurosurgery. My current post is as an NHS consultant neurosurgeon at Hull Royal Infirmary.
I welcome referrals from general practitioners, other medical and surgical specialists, in addition to physiotherapists and other health care professionals treating spinal disorders. I would also welcome self-referred patients.
I accept referrals for the diagnosis and treatment of degenerative spine disorders, sciatica, slipped disc and spinal trauma - infection - tumours.
I have an excellent academic and teaching background and am currently working on my PhD.

I have been married since 2007 and have three children.
My main hobbies include sport, especially rock climbing and skiing; Also music, both listening and playing the guitar. I have been a member of the Hellenic national ski team and participated at international FIS competitions. I have several years of experience as a ski instructor for children.
