I have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist since 2002, with a particular focus on advanced cataract surgery and intraocular lens procedures. Over the years, I have developed a sub-specialist interest in corneal and external eye conditions, allowing me to care for a wide range of patients with differing visual needs.

I provide cataract removal surgery using modern techniques such as phacoemulsification, a method that uses ultrasound to gently break up and remove the cloudy lens. I offer a wide choice of intraocular lens options, carefully tailored to each individual. These include multifocal lenses, which can help reduce the need for glasses at different distances, and toric lenses designed to correct astigmatism. For suitable patients, I also perform refractive lens exchange, a procedure similar to cataract surgery that can improve vision before a cataract develops.

In addition, I offer laser eye treatments such as YAG laser capsulotomy. This is commonly used to restore clear vision if clouding develops behind an artificial lens after cataract surgery.

Alongside lens-based procedures, I manage a broad range of anterior segment conditions, which affect the front part of the eye. I have a particular interest in corneal and external eye diseases, and in the treatment of keratoconus, a condition where the cornea becomes irregular in shape. I use modern techniques such as corneal collagen cross-linking, which helps to strengthen the cornea, and intrastromal ring implantation, which can improve its shape and function.
