I am a specialist upper limb surgeon at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, with expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. I offer both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, including keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery, open surgery and joint replacement procedures for a wide range of upper limb conditions.
My approach to care is centred around achieving the best possible experience and outcomes for my patients. I believe it is important that patients fully understand their condition and are actively involved in decisions about their treatment and recovery. I am also on the specialist register for Orthopaedics and Trauma.
I grew up in London before studying medicine at University College London Medical School. I later completed a Masters research degree at Imperial College London and undertook higher surgical training on the Newcastle Rotation. I was awarded my Fellowship in 2012 and also completed a postgraduate teaching degree at Newcastle University.
Throughout my training, I worked alongside nationally and internationally recognised upper limb surgeons, developing expertise in the treatment of both traumatic injuries and degenerative conditions affecting the upper limb. I also completed a specialist fellowship in Leeds with upper limb and sports surgeon Roger Hackney, where I trained in the Leeds Kuff Patch™ procedure and contributed to research into its use.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have been invited to join the faculty for advanced upper limb arthroscopy and sports surgery courses in Leeds and Cambridge. I am also actively involved in training and supervising junior doctors at all stages of their careers.
