Virtual consultations:
I am an experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder and upper limb surgery, and I have been practising at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital since 2005. My focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, helping patients understand their condition and feel supported throughout their treatment.
My specialist interests include shoulder surgery, complex arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures, shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, sports-related injuries, and wrist and hand surgery. I completed six years of orthopaedic training, including a dedicated year of research at Leicester University Hospitals. Following this, I undertook advanced fellowships at a leading shoulder and upper limb centre in Perth, Western Australia, and at the internationally recognised Wrightington Hospital in the UK.
I am committed to ongoing education and innovation, and I have worked to bring advanced shoulder and upper limb techniques to patients across Hull and East Yorkshire.
I assess and treat a wide range of upper limb conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. My practice includes treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture, ganglion cysts and trigger finger, with care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
I also provide expert assessment and treatment for many shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, instability and dislocation, frozen shoulder, biceps tendon rupture and shoulder joint damage. Where appropriate, I carry out shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement surgery using minimally invasive techniques whenever possible to support effective treatment and recovery.
In addition, I treat a variety of elbow and wrist conditions, including bursitis, tendonitis, tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow, alongside wrist conditions that may require arthroscopy or joint replacement surgery. My aim is always to provide clear guidance, effective treatment and a personalised approach to care.
