I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and completed my training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2002. I specialise in menstrual disorders, including heavy or/and painful periods, missed periods, bleeding between periods, bleeding after or during menopause, bleeding after sex and contraception and sterilisation.
I also specialise in chronic pelvic pain including painful intercourse, diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, adhesions, ovarian cysts, endometriosis diagnostics, polyps and fibroids.
I provide diagnostics of cervical and vulva pathology including unusual vaginal discharge, vaginal itching or burning, sores or lumps on the genitals, vulva pain and skin changes, cervical smear (cytology) and follow-up of abnormal smears as well as colposcopy.
I am qualified in Colposcopy (The British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology) and I am an accredited Colposcopy trainer. I have successfully undergone training in Medical Laser in Gynaecology. My additional advanced training at Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) includes hysteroscopy, acute gynaecology and early pregnancy as well as medical education and abortion care.
Along with a Diploma of Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, I am a holder of the Letters of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques and Sub-dermal Implants.
I am a Clinical Audit Lead for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hull and East Yorkshire Women and Children's Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary.
