I am a well respected dermatologist and skin cancer (dermatological) surgeon. I have been a consultant since 2006 practicing independently at Spire Hesslewood. I welcome patients from Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire and up the Coast to North Yorkshire and south through Lincolnshire. I have extensive experience in managing skin cancers (melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma) and undertake my own skin cancer surgery (skin cancer removal with local anaesthetic). I also treat extensive sun-damage and offer skin cancer surveillance "mole mapping".

Sun-damage I can treat with topical creams and am expert in cryosurgery - treating sun-damage and brown marks on the skin with "liquid nitrogen" is simple and very effective and gives excellent cosmetic results...seborrhoeic warts and solar lentigo (brown sun-damage) on the skin of the face, forehead and back of the hands I treat with cryotherapy with excellent results.

Alongside surgical work, I manage common and complex inflammatory skin diseases, including acne, psoriasis and eczema, as well as allergy-related skin conditions. I have a strong interest in paediatric dermatology, caring for children with a variety of skin conditions, especially childhood eczema, in a calm and supportive environment. In addition, I treat hair and nail disorders, offering comprehensive dermatology care tailored to each patient.

Acne, whether teenage acne or older acne I really understand how this affects an individual....there is never "mild" acne....it is all about how it affects a person's confidence. I am expert in using isotretinoin "roaccutane" or "accutane" and over 30 years have probably taken 2500+ patients successfully through a course to clear their acne. It is a very rewarding treatment to use in expert hands.

Where I can help and treat your skin condition I will do so to the best of my ability, but where there is no treatment available then I use counselling to help people come to terms with their condition.
