Whole staff team were so friendly, reassuring and kind. Nothing was too much trouble, and every person I came into contact with both first thing in the morning, and later in the evening, had a lovely attitude. In particular the anaesthetist who came down with me before my surgery noticed, without me even saying, I was nervous, and held my hand. Little touches like that really do make all the difference. I have seen Mr Chawla since I was about 10, for recurring ear infections. He has inserted 2 sets of grommets, and taken care of me, for most of my life. He is wonderfully kind, and makes you feel instantly that you are in safe hands. He arranged my surgery quickly, and made the effort to come and see me before I was discharged to let me know that everything had gone well. He went through the next steps with me thoroughly, and made sure I understood what needed to be done. I cannot thank him enough. Again, the anaesthetist went above and beyond in my mind. The ward sister also did everything she could to make me feel comfortable, bringing more painkillers for me when I needed them and did so quickly. She also explained everything on discharge thoroughly with the medication I have been given. Overall, my stay at Spire hospital more than exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely go back again if I ever needed another procedure.
