I am an Audiologist who has worked in the NHS since graduating in 2005. I have spent past 21 years in the private and public sector working across primary and secondary care. I have been in my current role as an Advanced Audiologist in Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2023, where I have responsibility for the assessment and management of babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHSP). I previously worked as a Senior Audiologist in Bedford Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2015, where I provided diagnosis and management of complex hearing losses in adults and children of all ages.
I am able to provide audiological diagnostic assessments for adult and school age children with suspected hearing loss including otoscopy, pure tone audiometry (air and bone conduction) with masking, tympanometry with reflex testing.
I currently work as an Advanced Audiologist in Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I recently graduated with a master of science degree in Advanced Audiology from University College London. In addition to providing routine and highly specialist clinical audiology assessment and rehabilitation to patients of all ages, I have the lead responsibility for the assessment and management of babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHSP), which includes regularly contact with external health professionals to support families and children with hearing loss. I have been involved in managing deafness in newborns since 2012. In addition I have experience of leading service development and audit projects. Other duties have included line management of staff and training students.
I have worked full time in the NHS since 2005 where I have gained over 21 years experience in providing routine and specialist care in the assessment and management of hearing loss in adults and children.
