Professional profile

I am a consultant urological surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. I undertook my first fellowship at the world-renowned Inselspital in Bern, Switzerland where I was mentored by Professor Urs Studer in prostate and bladder cancer and open reconstructive surgery, particularly in creating ‘Studer’ orthotropic bladder substitution.

My second fellowship was in robotic prostate and bladder cancer surgery and reconstruction at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. I was originally appointed as a consultant urological surgeon at Kent & Canterbury Hospital where I successfully started and led the robotic bladder cancer service for East Kent. In 2014, I moved to Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital as a consultant urological surgeon to join the internationally renowned tertiary Bladder Cancer Team.

I perform both open and robotic surgery including intra-corporeal urinary diversion using the Da Vinci robotic system for bladder cancer and reconstructive surgery. I also run the only dedicated Radiation Cystitis Clinic in the UK.

I completed my MD thesis with the University of London in Prostate Cancer and have published over 20 articles on various topics within urology in international journals.

I am a tutor at King’s College London GKT School of Medical Education and the clinical supervisor for the Royal College of Surgeons (BAUS) Bladder Cancer Fellowship. I see all general urological complaints and have particular interests in urological cancers, radiation cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections and chronic pelvic pain.

My philosophy is “Tailored medical care for your concern, complaint or condition.”
