I obtained full registration with the General Medical Council in 1978 and am on the specialist register. My undergraduate and postgraduate training was undertaken in London and South East England. I was appointed Consultant Surgeon with an interest in breast surgery to East Hertfordshire NHS Trust in October 1992, I am currently Consultant Breast Surgeon to East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
I served on the National Committee of the Association of Breast Surgery as Regional Representative for the East of England from 2009-2011. I served as President of the Clinical Section of the Royal Society of Medicine on three occasions between 1991 and 2007 and was a member of the Academic Board in that capacity.
I am Lead Clinician for Breast Cancer at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and am a member of the Trust Cancer Board. I am chairman of the East and North Hertfordshire Breast Multidisciplinary Team Meeting. I am a trustee of the Hertfordshire Breast Unit Appeal (Charity Commission 1087306).
I have 25 years of experience at consultant level as a specialist breast surgeon.
