I am a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in management of Foot and Ankle conditions.
After attending Colchester Royal Grammar School I obtained a First Class degree in Biomedical Science and graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of Nottingham. I then undertook higher surgical training in London on the prestigious UCH/Middlesex rotation, where I completed an MSc in Sports Medicine at UCL during surgical training.
Following completion of training I undertook a high volume fellowship at Stoke Mandeville Hospital covering all aspects of Foot and Ankle surgical reconstruction. I was also awarded a British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) Travelling Fellowship to work with Professor Hintermann in Switzerland. In addition I was selected to complete an AO Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
I am currently the Lead for Education in the Orthopaedic Department, which includes undergraduate teaching for University of Cambridge medical students. I am also on the SICOT International Foot and Ankle Committee responsible for educating surgeons around the world.
