I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Trust with a special interest in cataract and glaucoma. I am the Lead Clinician of the Luton and Dunstable Glaucoma service with expertise in the medical, laser and surgical management of all adult glaucoma. I am pleased to bring my experience in glaucoma and cataract to patients at the Spire Hospital Harpenden.

My initial medical training was at the University of Cambridge and I continued my postgraduate specialist training in ophthalmology in the East of England Deanery. My sub-specialty interest in glaucoma care came from training at both tertiary referral centres for glaucoma at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge University Hospital NHS Trust and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Trust. Following completion of my specialist training, I took up my consultant post at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital in 2015.

Medically, I offer expertise in the assessment of cataract, initial glaucoma diagnosis and its long-term management. With the facilities available at the Spire Harpenden, I use the latest in diagnostic testing to deliver a high-quality and individual care.

Surgically, I offer small incision cataract surgery. Having performed over 1,000 cataract procedures, I have the experience to the best outcome for my patients. From my sub-specialty interest I offer a comprehensive range of glaucoma laser surgery and glaucoma filtration surgery. From this practice, I have built up a particular interest in undertaking complex cataract surgery in glaucoma.
