I am a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. My clinical practice includes a full range of respiratory and sleep disorders. I have a special interest in sleep disorders, lung cancer and asthma.

I provide a sleep study service and manage a wide range of sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnoea and obesity hypoventilation syndrome. I have developed protocols for management of sleep disorders, provide specialist training in sleep medicine, run sleep medicine courses and have published extensively - including book chapters and a book on Case Histories in Sleep Medicine.

I treat respiratory disorders including asthma-exercise-induced asthma, chronic severe/poorly controlled asthma and work related/occupational asthma, breathlessness - persistent, chronic, unexplained, COPD - assessment for home neubliser, portable oxygen, long term oxygen, fitness for flying and surgical interventions, coughs - persistent, chronic, recurrent and coughing up blood, lung cancer- screening, diagnosis and staging and recurrent respiratory infections and bronchiectasis.

I treat sleep conditions including gasping and choking and pauses in breath (sleep apnoea), loud disruptive snoring, nightmare and acting out dreams (REM sleep behaviour disorders), restless legs (periodic limb movement syndrome), sleepwalking, talking & nightmares (parasomnia), disturbed sleep rhythm (owl and lark), insomnia – difficulty with sleep initiation and maintenance, idiopathic hypersomnia and narcolepsy.
