Spire Fylde Coast Hospital has been selected as a supplier to a framework agreement with Police Mutual, the not-for-profit financial services organisation, to provide private healthcare services to Police Officers, Police Staff and their families nationwide for the next three years.
Police Mutual is more than 150-years old and, with no shareholders, is run for the benefit of its members on a not-for-profit basis. It offers the largest independent health scheme within the Police service which, for an annual contribution, provides members with benefits and treatments that are not readily accessible on the NHS.
Group Sales and Marketing Director of Police Mutual, Andy Elkington said: “Our focus on improving the lives of those who protect us is our way of showing support for what members of the Police do. We were very impressed with what Spire had to offer and are delighted to have them on-board as health partners.”
Barbara Cummings, Spire Fylde Coast Hospital Director, said: “The hospital team are delighted to be involved with Police Mutual which is a very successful healthcare scheme. We are very proud that Police Mutual have decided that we are able to provide the quality of care that such a scheme demands and look forward to providing the services they require for their members.”
