Mr Ahmad Orabi

Consultant ENT/Head and Neck/Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgeon

Specialises in

I am a experienced and extensively trained ENT surgeon. I studied and qualified in 1990 at Ain Shams University Medical School, Cairo, and went on to complete an internship and residency training programme in ENT/laryngology and then a master’s degree, which led me to being appointed Assistant Lecturer at the university.

After completing the ECFMG/US.MLE certification in the USA (American equivalent of MB BCh - medical school graduation exam), I moved to the UK where I undertook a number of regional SHO posts. I then went on to complete my specialist higher surgical training in the North West/Manchester Rotation in 2007, followed by more than a year of post CCST advanced head and neck surgery fellowship training in London and translational lab research at Kings College, London.

I am currently employed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon with specialist interest in head and neck/thyroid and parathyroid surgery - since 2014. I am a core member of the Bradford Head and Neck multidisciplinary team (MDT), Regional Thyroid/Parathyroid cancer MDT in Leeds and the Local Endocrine MDT. I am also the clinical governance lead for ENT, undergraduate tutor for Leeds medical students in ENT and educational supervisor for junior medical staff and GP trainees in ENT within the Trust.
