I have been a consultant upper GI & Bariatric Surgeon for the past 5 years at Ashford & St.Peter;s Hospitals NHS Trust. I have set up Bariatric Multi Disciplinary Meetings, Upper GI Dysmotility MDT and Gastroparesis MDT meetings at our trust. I have also set up various new services at Ashford & St.Petet;s Hospitals including Oesophageal manometry & pH monitoring. This has been proven to be a successful service in terms of finances and patient satisfaction. I am a trainee lead for all our higher surgical trainees. I am a national faculty member of Advanced Life Trauma Support Course and Critically Ill Surgical Patient Care courses. I have carried out greater than 2000 laparoscopic surgeries and around 5-600 bariatric procedures including complex revision operations. I publish my results in the National Registry (NBSR) and proud to mention I have very low complication and zero mortality rate.
I specialise in weight loss surgery, laparoscopic surgery (gallbladder, hiatus hernia and abdominal hernia surgery) and endoscopy procedures.
To date I have performed 1000 gallbladder operations, 500 weight loss operations, 5000 endoscopic procedures and more than 100 anti-reflux operations and significant number of other laparoscopic procedures.
