I specialise in facial plastic surgery including cosmetic surgery of the face such as rhinoplasty, facelift, necklift, eyelid surgery, otoplasty, jaw and chin surgery and have been a pioneer in facial feminising surgery for over 20 years.

Over a 35 year experience as a trainee and consultant surgeon I have performed thousands of facial plastics and reconstructive procedures including head and neck cancer operations, microvascular reconstructions for oral, facial, and skull-base defects caused by cancer, trauma and disease. I have carried out voluntary work in Nigeria and Ethiopia for facially deformed children following Cancrum Oris.

I have 25 years' experience as a facial plastic surgeon in private practice performing several thousand rhinoplasties, facelifts, blepharoplasties, otoplasties, jaw and chin operations, and facial feminising procedures.

I trained in Liverpool, London and Edinburgh, with short spells in Germany and America. I am dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry and have had extensive postgraduate training in General Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I have been a Consultant and Lead Surgeon in the Department of Maxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery at the Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospital for over 20 years from 1991 to 2013. I am now employed as an Independent Practitioner specialising in Facial Plastic Surgery.

I have been chair of the Medical Advisory Committee(MAC) for the Victoria Park Hospital (BMI), Manchester, 2005 - 2010, and the Clinical Manager for the Department of Maxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery Central Manchester University Hospitals, 1995-2013.

I have held the position of Honorary Lecturer at Manchester University and have been an invited speaker and teacher in many countries including those in Europe and Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Ethiopia and Nigeria and India.

I grew up and was educated in the North West of England. I now live in West Sussex and am married with two grown up children. My hobbies include sailing, tennis and travel.

I have supported the Charitable Organisation 'The Noma Foundation' which organises surgical teams in Sub-Saharan Africa treating children with facial deformities - I have not been out to Sub-Saharan Africa doing this for over five years - (www.facingafrica.org).
