I have been working as an ophthalmologist since 2006. I specialise in all aspects of oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital conditions.

Oculoplastic surgeries I specialise in include droopy eyelids (ptosis, blepharoplasty, brow ptosis surgery), all eyelid lump and cyst removals, eyelid malpositions (entropion, ectropion surgery), excision and reconstruction of all skin cancers around the eyes, facial palsy treatment including medical and surgical management, botunilum toxin treatment including that for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, post facial palsy), thyroid eye disease management, management of all orbital disease, medical and surgical management of watering eyes including relevant lid surgery and dacryocystorhinostomy (both external and endonasal (keyhole) surgery. I also specialise in management of conditions affecting the orbit.

I have been performing ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeries for over 15 years. I have performed over 5,000 oculoplastic surgeries in the last nine years, namely ectropion and entropion surgeries, ptosis and blepharoplasty procedures, eyelid cyst and lesion excisions, excision and reconstruction of skin cancers around the eye, surgeries for watering eyes including dacryocystorhinostomy procedures (both external and endonasal) and lid tightening and tear duct surgeries, orbital procedures such as biopsy and excision of orbital lesions and drainage of orbital lesions.

I also perform procedures on children such as cyst and dermoid removal and operations for watering eyes in children and droopy eyelids (ptosis) in children. These surgeries have been performed in both my NHS and private practice.

I qualified in medicine from the University of Cambridge and then Guy's and St Thomas' hospital in London. After completing my MRCP I trained in ophthalmology at the Western Eye Hospital rotation and then in the Cambridge and East of England region including two years at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. I am highly trained and experienced in oculoplastic surgery, having undergone postgraduate oculoplastic fellowships at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and have had further postgraduate oculoplastic surgical training at the corneoplastic unit at East Grinstead.

I am lead of the Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital service at Frimley Health Foundation Trust since 2016 having set up and I continue to run many services here. I am also Clinical Governance Lead for the Eye Department with a focus on quality and safety for the whole department.

I also have a strong belief and desire in trying to optimise quality of care given to patients and try to develop and advance local care strategies with the aim of improving this as much as possible, and on an ongoing basis.

In addition to my clinical work I run and give regular regional teaching for ophthalmology trainee doctors from all around Kent, Surrey and Sussex. This includes both theory and wet lab training in surgical techniques.

I have a strong interest in teaching and training and continue to develop junior doctors in training. I am an honorary lecturer for UCL and give regular lectures for the Adnexal Module for the Moorfields MSc course, having done this for the last five years. I am an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and regularly examine national ophthalmology trainee doctors for their final FRCOphth examinations prior to applying for consultant posts.
