Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Spire Liverpool Hospital, Spire Yale Hospital and Spire Abergele Clinic. I offer a comprehensive range of spinal surgeries, specialising in the treatment of both adult and paediatric spinal deformities. I provide advanced corrective surgery for scoliosis, kyphosis and other complex spinal curvatures, as well as minimally invasive techniques to address degenerative spine conditions, disc problems and spinal trauma. My surgical approach prioritises safety, precision and optimal recovery, with a focus on reducing pain and restoring function.
I graduated from the University of Leicester, having studied medicine and surgery, in 2010. I subsequently completed my trauma and orthopaedic training in the Merseyside rotation, where I specialised in spinal surgery. Following extensive fellowship training, I developed expertise in the management of both adult and paediatric spinal conditions at tertiary care centres in the United Kingdom.
With this dual focus, I manage complex spinal conditions affecting patients of all ages, from children with scoliosis to adults requiring advanced spine care. My clinical practice includes spinal deformity correction procedures such as posterior correction and fusion for scoliosis and kyphosis, as well as diagnostic spinal injections including coccyx, facet joint, nerve root and sacroiliac joint injections.
I treat a wide range of cervical spine conditions, including cervical disc herniation, cervical myelopathy and cervical radiculopathy, offering procedures such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), posterior cervical decompression and disc replacement surgery. My practice also includes the management of lower back conditions such as degenerative disc disease, disc protrusion, spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis, with treatments including lumbar decompression, discectomy, fusion procedures such as TLIF, and vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty for osteoporotic fractures. I also manage conditions such as coccydynia, including injection therapy and manipulation where appropriate.
My approach to care is deeply patient‑centred, grounded in a strong ethos of compassion, respect and individualised treatment. I believe that each patient is unique and deserves a tailored care plan that addresses their specific needs, concerns and goals. I take the time to build trusting relationships with my patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported, informed and involved in every step of the journey. By offering clear explanations and guidance, my patients are able to make well‑informed decisions about their care, fostering a collaborative approach where patient wellbeing remains the central focus.
