Virtual consultations:
I am a consultant general and colorectal surgeon seeing patients at Spire for a wide range of bowel and general surgical conditions. My approach is practical, discreet and supportive, ensuring patients feel comfortable discussing symptoms and confident in their care.
I specialise in colorectal surgery, including the investigation and treatment of bowel symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel conditions, polyps and bowel cancer. I also support patients with a family history of colorectal cancer, offering appropriate assessment, surveillance and reassurance. At Spire, I am able to provide endoscopic investigations such as gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy to help diagnose symptoms promptly and accurately.
Alongside colorectal care, I undertake general surgical procedures including appendicectomy, hernia repair and minor surgery for lumps and bumps. I have a particular interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques, which can support quicker recovery and reduced discomfort where suitable. I also welcome patients with sensitive or embarrassing perianal symptoms, offering confidential assessment and modern treatments when needed.
My practice includes the management of more complex conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders, and I use up‑to‑date approaches to haemorrhoid and anorectal surgery. Alongside my private practice, I work as Clinical Service Lead for Emergency General Surgery within the NHS and am actively involved in colorectal cancer services and surveillance programmes.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping active, cycling, and following motorsport.
