I completed my surgical training including a surgical fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery in 1999 and have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at HM Stanley Eye Unit since then. I provide a comprehensive retinal disease service as well as cataract surgery, with both single and multifocal lens implantation.
In that time, I have set up a North Wales mobile diabetic retinopathy screening service and was part of the steering group for the current Diabetic Eye Screening Wales. I also introduced Photodynamic Therapy for macular degeneration when first used and was among the first to provide anti-VEGF injection treatment for macular degeneration in partnership with Spire Yale.

Spire Yale Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
