I am a Consultant Spinal Surgeon. I completed my medical degree at the University of Delhi in 1995 and went on to complete my MS in Orthopaedics at Delhi University. I moved to the UK in 2001 and, after completing basic surgical training in Bristol, London and Shrewsbury, joined the Oswestry–Stoke Trauma and Orthopaedic training programme with the West Midlands Deanery in 2004.

In addition to training in all aspects of orthopaedics, I gained two and a half years of focused experience in the management of spinal disorders. During this time, I trained with Professor S M Eisenstein and Mr D C Jaffray. I completed spinal fellowships at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, with additional short training visits to the University Hospital in Innsbruck, Austria, and the Texas Back Institute in Dallas, USA.

I work as an NHS Consultant Spinal Surgeon at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry and currently manage all aspects of spinal disorders within the Centre for Spinal Disorders. This includes degenerative, traumatic, deformity‑related and tumour‑related conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, as well as the use of minimally invasive and endoscopic spinal surgery techniques.
