MA, MBBS, MRCS, FRCS(Orth), British Diploma in Hand Surgery
I trained at the University of Cambridge and the Royal Free Hospital in London. My orthopaedic training took place in the West Midlands, including 18 months specialising in upper limb surgery at the Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Oswestry.
In 2011, I undertook specialist hand surgery training through the 12-month Advanced Training Post in Hand Surgery Fellowship in Manchester. During this time, I gained extensive experience in microsurgery and plastic surgery of the hand and was awarded the British Hand Diploma by the BSSH and the University of Manchester.
I completed my training with a further 12-month Upper Limb Fellowship in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery at the Wrightington Hospital Upper Limb Unit in 2013.
I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic and Upper Limb Surgeon at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales, in February 2013.
My clinical interests include carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral nerve surgery, Dupuytren's disease, trigger finger, fracture surgery, osteoarthritis, nerve and tendon injuries, wrist surgery, shoulder surgery, keyhole surgery, arthroscopy, rotator cuff tears, and subacromial impingement.
I am committed to maintaining surgical excellence and to training the next generation of surgeons. I serve as a clinical and educational supervisor for trainee orthopaedic surgeons in Wrexham and regularly teach and lecture on upper limb courses in Oswestry.
