I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2019, serving at Haywood Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent till 2022, when I moved to North Wales. I completed my specialist Rheumatology training in the West Midlands between 2011 and 2019. I took time out of the training programme to do a NIHR Vasculitis Fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals, where I spent time looking after Vasculitis and Connective tissue disease patients.

Alongside my clinical work, I am passionate about medical education, leadership and improving services for rheumatology patients in North Wales. I have been the clinical lead for Rheumatology department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and have successfully established pathways with collaborative working to reduce waiting times and improve patient outcomes in rheumatology.

I work for Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), promoting the well-being and training of junior doctors at my local hospital. I am keen on promoting research studies in Wales and the equitable distribution of health care. I am the principal investigator for several research studies in my department. I am currently serving as Chair of the Rheumatology Specialist Advisory Group (SAG) in Wales after finishing 3 years as secretary. Nationally, I am a member of the British Society for Rheumatology Clinical Affairs Committee (CAC) influencing policy making.

My main clinical interests include connective tissue diseases such as vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, scleroderma, giant cell arteritis, large vessel vasculitis, Bechet's syndrome and polymyalgia rheumatica. I also manage early and chronic inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, pseudogout, reactive arthritis and undifferentiated or seronegative inflammatory arthritis.

In addition, my practice includes the assessment and treatment of axial spondyloarthropathies such as ankylosing spondylitis, as well as osteoarthritis. I provide general rheumatology care, including joint injections and aspirations, soft tissue injections, and the management of musculoskeletal conditions, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis and joint hypermobility.
