The Spire Clinic has a minor surgery suite for selected procedures in a variety of disciplines. Read the full list of procedures below.

Bones and joints

Problems that affect your joints and bones and the associated muscles, tendons and ligaments are treated by orthopaedic surgeons.

Procedures such as hip and knee replacements and treatments for arthritis and sports injuries are all carried out by our specialist team of consultant surgeons. They work together with our radiologists and physiotherapists so all diagnostic tests and aftercare take place at South Bank Hospital.

Our services are available to all, whether you are privately insured or you are paying for your own treatment. If the latter, we can offer a private treatment for a fixed price agreed in advance.

To book a no-obligation consultation with one of our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons please call 01905 799 116 or complete our general enquiries form.

All our staff have a wide variety of experience in the treatment of joint and soft tissue conditions, post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries with some specialist interests. We actively invest in the training and development of all our staff, keeping abreast of the latest developments in treatment and advances in technology.

The treatments we use at Spire Droitwich are evidence based and are continuously updated and improved. If your condition is not suitable for physiotherapy, we will ensure you are referred to the most appropriate specialist within our clinic, as soon as possible.

We have a very close relationship with the consultants and radiology to ensure diagnosis is correct, enabling optimum rehabilitation. We will liaise directly with your GP to ensure they are informed of your progress. Whatever your condition, our approach is to look after you and help make sure you stay healthy.

You do not need a doctor's referral to see one of our physiotherapists but you will need to have visited your GP prior to attending our clinics if you are medically insured.

Visual scans and investigations

Spire Healthcare offers a comprehensive range of tests and scans to examine any part of the body, inside and out. Including:

An X-ray is a quick and painless method used to diagnose many health conditions. The procedure involves exposing part of your body to a small dose of ionising radiation (X-rays).

X-rays can take images of any bone in the body and are also used to look at the heart, lungs and blood vessels.

MRI scan (magnetic resonance imaging scan)

An MRI scan is a special technique that uses magnets and radio waves to produce both two and three dimensional pictures of the inside of your body.

MRI can help diagnose and monitor many different medical conditions. It’s suitable for every part of the body, including bones, soft tissues (such as blood vessels, ligaments and muscles) and the brain.

CT scan

A CT (computerised tomography) scan is a non-invasive medical test used to diagnose and monitor medical conditions. It is a fast and highly effective tool which provides detailed, cross-sectional views of areas of the body that may be hard to reach.

The CT scan uses specialised X-ray equipment and a computer to create images of the inside of your body. Whereas a standard x-ray only sends out one beam to capture the image, in a CT scan - several beams of x-ray are sent out at different angles. This creates a much more detailed picture in two or three dimensions. Bones, internal organs, soft tissue and the brain can all be viewed in detail through the CT scan, to help diagnose inflammation, disease and cancer and monitor many other health conditions.

Ultrasound scan

Ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to create pictures of the inside of the body.

It can show internal organs as well as blood flow, and as a result ultrasound is used to look for any changes in organs and tissue.
