Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral on Holmwood Drive, Thingwall, Barnston have recently completed their £2.14million MRI replacement project.
The new technology offers patients faster scanning, same day appointment for patients and whole-body, cardiac and breast imaging.
Anita Rosser, a recurring MRI patient at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral said: “I’m a bit of a nervous patient and I’m a bit claustrophobic.
"So going in the scanner was a bit of a worry for me, but when I arrived, they looked after me so brilliantly.
"They talk you through everything, they put on your favourite music and they give you confidence, this kept me calm.
“If any patient was thinking of coming for an MRI here, you’d be picking the best.
"I had been in the old scanner as I come here annually and this was a big change, feels more friendly, the sky on the ceiling is a great touch, and it made the room feel comfortable.
“The staff have been amazing, I’ve been coming here for four years, when I come here, I honestly feel comfortable and cared for.”
Sean Crooks, Hospital Director at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral said: “We are very fortunate at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral to be able to offer our patients an MRI service which provides the latest fast scanning technology, resulting in shortened scan times and more appointments available each day.”
