Chris Walker and Son, Tom, tackle 150 mile cycle for Cancer Research UK

27 September 2016

Making cancer a manageable disease!

Chris Walker, Bone and Joint Centre Foot & Ankle Surgeon, has just completed 150 miles cycling over 2 days to raise funds to help beat cancer.

He was supported by his Son, Tom, an A&E doctor at Gateshead.

The coast to coast route between Whitehaven and Tynemouth takes in the mountains of Cumbria and the Pennines. Chris, back at work, was delighted with the support. “We all feel like doing something a bit mad from time to time, but this seemed right. Cancer is being managed much better now enabling friends and loved ones to lead relatively normal lives. It is the cutting edge research that has allowed this to happen.”

Chris and Tom invite you to visit their JustGiving page.
