Mr Niloy Roy

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and have broad experience in general orthopaedics but am especially interested in upper limb trauma and elective surgery. I have special interest in rheumatoid upper limb surgery. I am available for referral of upper limb problems including shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist including joint replacement. I commenced working at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004 as a consultant in trauma and orthopaedics.
I graduated from India and obtained MS (orthopaedics) in 1991, following that I completed SpR training in orthopaedics in the North West and Yorkshire region. My final year of SpR training was at Hull. During my training I developed an interest in upper limb surgery and following completion of training I worked as an Upper Limb Fellow at Wrightington Hospital (home of the Charnley hip replacement) for one year.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Niloy Roy at Spire include:
Elbow bursitis, elbow tendonitis, rupture of biceps tendon, shoulder dislocation, shoulder impingement, shoulder joint tear, frozen shoulder, tennis/golfers elbow, wrist arthroscopy and wrist joint replacement.
Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
