Mr John Edward Hartley

I trained in general surgery in London and the Yorkshire Hospitals. From 1999 - 2000 I was an International Fellow in Surgical Oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. From 2000 - 2001 I trained in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. My interests lie in surgery for colon and rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease with particular reference to pelvic pouch reconstruction.
My specialist interests include; Abdominal surgery for Crohn's disease, closure of loop colostomy, haemorrhoid removal, repair of anal fistula, sigmoid colectomy for diverticular disease, sphincterotomy, surgery for pilonidal sinus, bowel disease and rectal prolapse.
