I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Hospitals Trust and am based at Castle Hill Hospital. My special interest is urogynaecology, which encompasses patients with utero vaginal prolapse and female urinary incontinence. I specialise in urinary incontinence and prolapse treatment, including Trans obturator tape (TOT), Tension free vaginal tape (TVT), BOTOX intravesical injections for overactive bladder, urodynamic assessment, cystoscopy and biopsy, vaginal mesh procedures for uterovaginal prolapse, hysterectomy (vaginal and abdominal) with vaginal repair, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopy.
I have a special interest in the management of pelvic floor dysfunction and offer various vaginal operations. I offer full investigations including urodynamic studies for female urinary incontinence. I have extensive experience in conventional anti incontinence surgery, such as colposuspension as well as advanced procedures such as Tension free Vaginal Tape (TVT) and injectables.
I firmly believe that a full explanation of the management options should be provided to every woman and encourage an active participation of each individual woman during the decision making process.
After qualifying in 1975 I did my specialist training and higher specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at various regions within the UK. My clinical experience includes general gynaecology and obstetrics and I am a qualified colposcopist accredited by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
