I am a Consultant ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Surgeon and have been working at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust since 2011. I specialise in all aspects of ENT care, including paediatric ENT, managing conditions from simple concerns such as ear wax removal through to more complex ear, nose and throat disorders.
I provide comprehensive ENT outpatient consultations and treatments, offering a range of procedures in a convenient clinic setting at Spire Hull. These include ear wax removal, removal of foreign bodies from the ears and nose, and cauterisation for nosebleeds. I also carry out flexible laryngoscopy and nasendoscopy (laryngoscopy investigations) to assess the throat, voice and airway, as well as balance treatments such as the Epley manoeuvre for positional vertigo (BPPV).
My clinical interests cover a broad range of conditions, including hearing loss, balance disorders, allergy-related ENT problems, sinus and nasal conditions (rhinology), voice disorders (laryngology) and head and neck pathology. I also have specialist expertise in paediatric otolaryngology, otology (ear conditions) and neurotology, as well as experience managing sleep disorders and snoring. In my NHS role, I have a particular interest in endoscopic sinus surgery and thyroid and parathyroid disease.
I completed my higher surgical training in the West Midlands, including experience at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, followed by a rhinology fellowship in Nottingham. I am also actively involved in teaching as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and simulation faculty member at Hull York Medical School.
