I am a consultant Ophthalmologist at Hull University Teaching Hospitals. My surgical expertise encompasses simple and complex cataract surgery as well as management of retinal diseases. I have diverse experience in retinal surgery and offer state-of-the-art suture-less retinal surgery for a range of retinal disorders.
I trained across the UK, Japan and Egypt and completed my residency and obtained a Master’s Degree from Suez Canal University hospital in Egypt. I further completed a PhD from the world-renown Kyoto University in Japan focusing on macular diseases. Following that, I completed two retina fellowships in the UK.

I have many research publications in peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals and co-authored 2 book chapters. My research was presented in the major ophthalmology meetings across the world. I have been invited as a guest speaker to many national and internal meetings. I have participated in over 15 multi centre trials investigating new modalities for treatments for retinal diseases.
