I am a Consultant Cardiologist based at Castle Hill Hospital, with specialist expertise in cardiac imaging. My focus is on providing thorough assessment and personalised care to help patients better understand and manage their heart health.
I completed my undergraduate medical training at Madras Medical College in Madras, India, before moving to the UK in 1995 to continue my postgraduate training. I undertook general medical training in Scotland and passed the MRCP (UK) examination in 1997.
I then continued my cardiology training in England, initially as a registrar in Ipswich before moving to Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham. During my specialist training, I took time out to work as a cardiovascular imaging research fellow at the University of Virginia in the USA, further developing my expertise in advanced heart imaging techniques.
After completing my cardiology training, I undertook additional fellowship training at Oregon Health Sciences University, specialising in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT imaging.
My specialist interest is cardiac imaging, including cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, which are advanced scanning techniques used to assess the structure and function of the heart. These investigations can help diagnose and monitor a wide range of heart conditions and support accurate treatment planning.
