MRCP, MD
Specialises in
I am a consultant in respiratory and general (internal) medicine at Spire Hull & East Riding Hospital, having trained in Yorkshire. I have broad and varied experience in respiratory medicine, managing a full range of conditions including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary embolism, chronic cough and sleep apnoea.
I have a particular interest in the management of sleep disorders, including sleep apnoea, and have explored the association between these common conditions. My main research focus is chronic cough, and I completed a higher medical research degree in this field. I am recognised as an expert in chronic cough, with my work published and presented at both national and international meetings.
In my clinical practice, I provide comprehensive respiratory and chest medicine services, including diagnosis and treatment of lung disease, respiratory pathology, and general medical conditions linked to respiratory health. This includes care for asthma, lung cancer, and sleep-related breathing disorders, ensuring patients receive accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment plans.
Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
