Specialises in
I am a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders and heart failure. I perform diagnostic coronary angiography and specialise in the implantation of both simple and complex pacemakers and cardiac devices.
Over the course of my career, I have performed thousands of diagnostic coronary angiograms and more than 1,000 pacemaker implantations, including complex cardiac devices. I also have extensive experience in electrophysiology and have previously carried out hundreds of procedures using radiofrequency treatment for cardiac arrhythmias.
I completed my cardiology training at St George’s Hospital in London between 1997 and 2005 and was awarded my MD degree from the University of London. My training included invasive cardiac investigations and treatments such as coronary angiography, angioplasty and pacemaker implantation. I also received specialist training in electrophysiology for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms, as well as heart failure management and the implantation of complex devices including ICDs and CRT-P devices.
Throughout my career, I have worked in several major UK hospitals, including Liverpool University Hospital, Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool and Hull Royal Infirmary. I currently work as a Consultant Cardiologist at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School.
My approach is focused on providing clear explanations, accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment plans to help patients feel informed, reassured and supported throughout their care.
