I am a Consultant Imaging Cardiologist with a focus on providing clear, accurate assessments of heart health through advanced imaging techniques. My work centres on helping patients and their care teams better understand heart conditions, so we can make informed decisions about treatment and ongoing care.
I have built strong links across the region as a cross-trust cardiologist, working collaboratively to improve services for patients with congenital heart disease, inherited cardiac conditions, and heart disease during pregnancy. Locally, I have played a key role in developing and supporting cardiac imaging services, with particular improvements in the care of patients with heart valve disease.
I specialise in cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology. This means I carry out a wide range of heart scans, from routine ultrasound scans performed on the chest, through to more advanced tests such as stress echocardiography, which assesses how the heart works during exertion, and endoscopic ultrasound, where a small probe is used internally to obtain detailed images.
I also perform cardiac and coronary CT scans, which provide detailed pictures of the heart and blood vessels to help diagnose and monitor heart conditions.
Alongside imaging, I have a particular interest in inherited heart conditions and managing heart disease during pregnancy. I also support the wider general cardiology service and am experienced in all aspects of general cardiology care.
At a national level, I serve as the Secretary of the British Nuclear Cardiac Society, supporting the development and advancement of nuclear cardiology across the UK.
