I qualified as a dietitian in 2007 by completing a PGDip in Dietetics from Leeds Metropolitan University. I specialised in bariatrics, surgery and gastroenterology in 2009. I have been the dietetic lead for bariatric surgery and surgery at York Hospital since 2011. I also have a BSc Hons in Sport Science which complements my nutritional knowledge. I am a key member of the bariatric teams at York and Spire Hospital Hull advising patients through their weight loss journey.
My other areas of expertise include gastroenterology (irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, pancreatic insufficiency, gastro-oesophageal reflux, food intolerances, low FODMAP diet), liver disease, nutrition support, upper GI cancer, weight management and sports nutrition. I am also a qualified fertility dietitian and able to help women and men optimise their diet for fertility.
I am committed to providing patient centred care to help patients reach their goals.
I have presented at national conferences on nutritional deficiencies and am a published author in the British Journal of Obesity.
