I recently had to go to Spire Harpenden for a procedure, on arriving I was booked in by the reception team who were very helpful. In no time a porter came to take me to my room, he was very polite and explained all I needed to know about the room and buttons for calling the nurse.

It was not long before the nurse arrived, who was going to be looking after me during my time there, she was very pleasant, professional and very caring, explaining what would be happening and what I should do.

Soon after that the anaesthetist arrived to explain what the plan was and what he would do, asked the questions he needed to know, he had a very pleasant manner and made us feel at ease.

A while later Mr Lloyd arrived who has that reassuring manner about him, he went over what we had talked about when I came in to see him prior to the operation, he checked the area, marked it, and got me to sign the paper work.

When I went down to theatre again the lady there made me feel at ease, checked I was the right person and what I was in for, the anaesthetist came in and went through what he was about to do. All that is left to say is that the whole team could not have looked after me any better they were all very helpful, polite and caring.
