A free information event for men aged 50+ with a consultant specialist from your local private hospital

Introducing Mr Jim Adshead, Consultant from Spire Harpenden Hospital.

Mr Adshead is a Consultant Urologist specialising in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery

Are you over the age of 50? Have you had a recent PSA blood test? Have you noticed changes in your urinary habits, or are you simply interested in staying healthy as you get older? Join our Consultant Urologist for an informative and engaging evening dedicated to men’s health.

Topics being covered include:

  • Understanding your PSA blood test – what it can and cannot tell you.
  • Prostate enlargement, prostatitis and prostate cancer – knowing the differences.
  • When urinary symptoms shouldn’t be ignored.
  • Erectile dysfunction – what it can tell you about your overall health.
  • Testosterone and healthy ageing.
  • Lifestyle changes that support prostate and heart health.
  • Live Q&A with a consultant.

Why attend?

  • One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
  • Many prostate conditions have no symptoms in their early stages.
  • Learn when you should request a PSA test.
  • Understand which symptoms need prompt assessment.
  • Get trusted advice directly from an experienced consultant.
  • Ask questions in a relaxed, confidential environment.

Many prostate conditions develop gradually and may cause few or no symptoms in their early stages. Understanding your risk and recognising the warning signs can help you make informed decisions about your health. Whether you have symptoms or simply want to learn more about protecting your future health, this event will provide expert guidance from an experienced consultant in an informal and supportive setting.
