Dr Rob Hughes

I am a Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of pelvic cancers especially prostate, bladder and colorectal cancer. I have a particular interest in the use of targeted radiotherapy IMRT and IGRT and also in brachytherapy for prostate cancer.

I work as part of the urology and colorectal cancer multidisciplinary teams based in North Hertfordshire treating patients with both localised and advanced tumours within a multidisciplinary group with support from my surgical, radiological and nursing colleagues.

I am able to provide chemotherapy and hormone treatments at both Spire Harpenden Hospital and at Mount Vernon Hospital, plus radiotherapy treatments at both the Cancer Partners radiotherapy unit in Elstree or at Mount Vernon Hospital.
