I am a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon with extensive experience in the management of general gynaecological conditions. My clinical practice includes the treatment of menstrual disorders, benign gynaecological problems, pelvic floor conditions, surgery for stress urinary incontinence and reproductive medicine. I aim to provide evidence‑based care tailored to each patient, with a focus on improving quality of life and supporting informed decision‑making.

I graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin in 1988 and initially trained in general practice, gaining my MRCGP in 1993. I then pursued specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Belfast and North West England, achieving membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996. In 2002, I was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2010.

Alongside my clinical work, I have held several senior leadership and governance roles within the NHS. I previously served as Clinical Director of Women’s Health at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and have also worked as the Gynaecology Governance Lead at the same Trust. These roles strengthened my commitment to high clinical standards, patient safety and service improvement within women’s health.
