I am a fellowship‑trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery, currently practising within East Lancashire NHS Hospitals Trust.

I manage a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture, trigger finger and trigger thumb, ganglia and osteoarthritis. My practice also includes procedures such as cubital tunnel release, De Quervain’s release, trigger thumb release, and the surgical management of osteoarthritis of the hand and wrist, including joint replacement and fusion.

I am originally from the Fylde Coast and completed my trauma and orthopaedic training in the North West of England. I subsequently undertook the Training Interface Group (TIG) Hand Surgery Fellowship, regarded as a leading advanced training pathway in hand surgery in the UK. Having ranked first nationally for this fellowship, I completed my training at Wrightington, Whiston and Alder Hey Children’s Hospitals, gaining specialist experience across the full breadth of hand and wrist surgery.

I have a strong interest in research and completed a Master of Research in Clinical Sciences. I have been involved in setting up and recruiting patients into randomised controlled trials and have published papers and book chapters in trauma and orthopaedics, including hand and wrist surgery.

In addition to clinical practice, I am actively involved in education and have completed postgraduate qualifications in medical education. I contribute to teaching on national trauma and orthopaedic courses and support the training of healthcare professionals.

I have also achieved higher specialist qualifications in hand and wrist surgery, including the Diploma of the European Board of Hand Surgery.
