My specialties include hip and knee replacement in patients of all ages. I have extensive experience in managing arthritis arising from injuries, accidents, radiotherapy and avascular necrosis, and have been involved in improving outcomes for patients with complex joint conditions.

My experience in knee surgery includes all aspects of knee replacement, including total and partial knee replacement, as well as ligament reconstruction using arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques. I manage a wide range of knee injuries, including meniscal damage, patellar instability and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, including revision procedures.

I adopt a conservative approach to orthopaedic care and aim to consider non‑surgical options where appropriate. This includes the use of injection therapies, such as cortisone, hyaluronic acid, platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) and Arthrosamid injections, as well as manipulation techniques to help relieve pain and improve function in patients who are not suitable for surgery.

As Chief Hip and Knee Surgeon, I have developed particular expertise in revision hip and knee replacement surgery, including the management of failed joint replacements due to infection, metal‑on‑metal wear and periprosthetic fractures. I also have experience in managing complex joint conditions using advanced techniques, including Mako® robotic‑arm assisted knee replacement where appropriate.

I completed my trauma and orthopaedic training in the North West of England, predominantly in Liverpool and Manchester. I have undertaken fellowships in hip surgery in Melbourne and at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. I am currently Head of Department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where I am involved in monitoring outcomes and ensuring high standards of patient care.

My clinical work includes hip and knee replacement, revision surgery, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, the management of sports‑related injuries of the hip and knee, and the use of advanced and minimally invasive techniques to support patient recovery.
