Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Sandeep Sharma at Spire include:
• Laparoscopic hysterectomy
I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, advanced hysteroscopic surgery, vaginal surgery and colposcopy. I regularly perform laparoscopic removal of ovaries, fallopian tubes and ovarian cysts. I also perform laparoscopic hysterectomy for various conditions including cancer of the womb.I have a keen interest in vaginal hysterectomy, even in the absence of prolapse and perform complicated abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies. I believe in the conservative treatment of fibroids and use the hysteroscope for their removal.
To treat heavy periods, I use conservative techniques such as Microwave Endometrial Ablation, NovaSure and Thermachoice. I also perform cosmetic operations to correct deficiencies and injuries following childbirth. I enjoy keeping myself abreast of all new innovations and developments in the field of Gynaecology and practice evidence based medicine. I believe in keeping my patients fully involved in the decision making process.
