I am a skilled, national and international fellowship trained hip and knee Consultant orthopaedic surgeon. I have a dedicated focus on hip surgery, including joint replacement (arthroplasty), sports injuries, key hole surgery (arthroscopy), and the management of complex trauma cases.

With extensive training and clinical experience across leading NHS institutions and Australian centres, I combine my surgical precision with a deep commitment to patient-centred care.

My practice is evidence-based. I am constantly involved in research to be able to offer each patient an up-to-date personalised approach to managing their condition.

I am deeply committed to shared decision-making in patient management. All my patients are offered the available treatment options and through discussion, I support them to reach the best option suited to their clinical condition and social circumstances. We will always discuss the risks and the benefits of your treament to ensure you are fully informed.

I work well with my teams to guarantee the best results for my patients.

I received my national training in trauma and orthopaedics on the North East of England (Newcastle) Rotation. An excellent training program during which I developed myself as a safe and caring surgeon. I have obtained my Fellowship of the Royal college of Surgeons of England in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2019 prior to my Certificate of Completion of Training leading to my registration as a specialist surgeon on 2020.

Following my national training, I obtained further sub specialised training in Australia. I joined a competitive fellowship program at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, an extremely busy centre where I gained further training on management of complex hip and knee problems (Including complex joint replacements and revision surgery) in addition to management of complex fractures.

Then, I secured the reputable fellowship of the Hip Arthroscopy Australia, supervised by Professor John O’Donnell, one of the world’s pioneers of hip arthroscopy. This time provided me with the skills required to provide hip preservation service and care for patients with sports hip problems. Being keen to get back to the UK, I underwent further specialised training in complex hip and knee surgery.

Having completed a senior arthroplasty fellowship at United Lincolnshire Hospitals, I successfully performed over 200 hip and knee replacements in under a year prior to starting my consultant career in West Yorkshire.

Currently, I am keen on introducing the hip preservation and sports hip service to Huddersfield and Calderdale valley. Through this service, I am aiming to help younger patients to delay, or avoid hip replacement surgery.

I spent a full year of research investigating the complications of Metal-on-Metal hip replacements under supervision of Mr. Steve Jones at University Hospital Wales. The results of this project were presented at national and international meetings. I have been always keen on producing high quality research work.

I led multiple practice changing research projects the results of which were published in high impact orthopaedic journals. I act as a reviewer for many specialist orthopaedic journals including the famous Journal of Arthroplasty.

After retiring from my commitment to tennis, I am currently keen on swimming and running. I am still a big tennis fan and proud to have been part of the ABTO (Association of British Tennis Officials) as a line and chair umpire for 5 years.
