Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Mark Wilshere at Spire include:
Services not on offer: Prescriptions for controlled drugs including sleeping tablets and certain pain medication.
Please note, I am not permitted to see patients who are registered with my current NHS practices.
I am a General Practitioner and offer a comprehensive medical service for individuals and families.
I began working in the NHS as a Clinical Cardiac Scientist in 1997 and obtained invaluable expertise and experience in both Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine. I also studied for my Bachelor of Science whilst working and obtained an Honours degree.
In 2001 I began studying Medicine at Sheffield and graduated in 2006. I remained working in Sheffield and surrounding areas before being accepted in to the Paediatric Specialist training in Oxford. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed working as a Specialists Registrar, I missed many aspects of Medicine and so I decided to retrain as a General Practitioner and I returned to Yorkshire.
I have also worked in numerous other specialties which has helped me to broaden and increase my overall knowledge and experience. I have had experience working as a salaried GP, partner GP and locum GP, and have worked with many of the GP surgeries and Doctors in Halifax as well as Huddersfield, Bradford and Manchester.
