I am dual fellowship trained in hand and wrist surgery. My first fellowship was at The Queen Elizabeth and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospitals, Birmingham. This was a true ortho-plastics fellowship, including microsurgery and hand trauma. My second fellowship was at Guys and St Thomas’ London, a tertiary referral centre with more focus on complex hand and wrist orthopaedic conditions.
I graduated from Imperial College London in 2006, with junior surgical training at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington and also 2 years in Cornwall. I came back to London to complete a Master's degree at Imperial College in Surgical Education, my thesis on Orthopaedic training gained a merit award in 2010. During my junior doctor training I also spent time as a rugby team doctor, judo championship doctor, and as an expedition medic for Mount Kilimanjaro.
I subsequently spent a year at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore before gaining a higher Orthopaedic Training number in the Kent Surrey & Sussex deanery.
