Professional profile

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Eye, Ear and Mouth Unit, Maidstone Hospital, with sessions at the Medway and Sittingbourne Hospitals.

I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine. I was awarded the highly competitive International Glaucoma Association Fellowship, which allowed me to undertake dedicated research towards a higher degree (MD). I completed my training with a highly regarded Glaucoma Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.

My research interests are in quality of vision following cataract and laser refractive surgery and the latest laser and surgical techniques in the treatment of glaucoma.

I enjoy sports, bird watching, hill walking and love relaxing with my young family. I am a keen cricketer, golfer and enjoy exploring the countryside and wildlife.

I am an excellent teacher, having given many national and international presentations and focus on strengthening hospital links with the community.
