I am an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist who specialises in urogynaecology. I provide specialist care for women with urinary incontinence (leakage of urine from the bladder) and pelvic floor prolapse (prolapse of the uterus, cervix and or walls of the vagina).
In addition to this, I also provide care for women with benign gynaecological problems like heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding.
I am directly involved in teaching and training my junior colleagues skills in urogynaecology and obstetrics. This teaching involves lectures on courses, bed side teaching (ward rounds) and surgical training in theatre. I am also actively involved in undertaking teaching for medical students.
I organised the Regional Urogynaecology Forum in October 2017 and 2019 which received excellent feedback from attendees all over the region. I organised a regional training day for the Foundation Trainees to equip them with knowledge about Quality Improvement Programmes and this too received excellent feedback.
