I have recently undergone a total hip replacement at the Spire Fylde Coast Hospital, the operation was carried out by the consultant surgeon Mr Paul Dunkow.
From arriving at the hospital to being discharged, the care was exemplary. The nursing staff are dedicated, kind and caring whilst maintaining the utmost professionalism.
Pre- and post-operation observations were carried out very regularly, towels and bed linen was changed every day and my visitors were always offered refreshments.
Going into hospital for a major operation is very daunting, however as soon as I arrived I was greeted by a warm and friendly smile, I knew I was in safe hands. It was a relief for my family to know I was going to be so well cared for during my stay and that the staff were always going to go the extra mile to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible.
I have complete admiration for Mr Dunkow, his nursing team, domestic staff and the receptionists - they work so hard to please everyone.
